Who We Are

The Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) was established in 1980 as Malaysia’s commitment to South-South Cooperation through the sharing of Malaysia’s development experiences and expertise with other developing countries.

MTCP is premised on the principle that the development of a country is dependent on the quality of its human capital and resources. MTCP emphasizes human resources development mainly through training; short-term courses in public and private Malaysian training institutions, and long-term courses in Malaysian public universities. Endorsement

All applications forms must be duly completed and endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or National Focal Point incharge of technical cooperation in the applicant’s countries

Submit Form

Frequently Asked Questions

MTCP courses are applicable to government officials from 144 MTCP Recipient Countries. Please check the list of eligible countries for the course of interest to you.

All application forms must be duly completed and endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or National Focal Point in the respective countries (the relevant ministry or agency responsible for the overall coordination of international technical assistance) and should be submitted ONLY through the diplomatic channel via Embassy of Malaysia in the respective countries.

Please visit our List of Courses for more details. The application will usually be opened at the beginning of the year and the deadline for the course is one (1) month prior course start date.

Every participants are eligible to participate in one (1) in-person MTCP course only throughout lifetime. Should you have attended online course and would like to apply for in-person course, your application shall be considered, however, the selection process is strict.

Yes, you will be receiving a Certificate of Completion if you met the participation requirements of the course, for example, full attendance and/or completion of course assignments.

Yes, MTCP course fees are fully sponsored by the Government of Malaysia.

You will be informed about the applications about two to four weeks before the course starts.
